Our SP ECO manual hot water dipping tank is for use with chickens prior to plucking. To achieve a good finish and successfully wet pluck poultry, the birds must be scalded accurately beforehand, to do this both the temperature of the water and the length of time the bird spends submerged are vital.
To use the SP ECO dip tank you need to bleed the chicken for 90-100 seconds then place in the tank moving the bird up & down to ensure the hot water reaches the base of the feathers. (This also helps to mix the water in the tank). Hang the bird in the tank and leave for 2 - 2.5 minutes – remove and pluck.
This dipping tank is constructed entirely of stainless steel and is robust and very simple to use and maintain.
