Our SP 1 meter scald tank is for use on chickens, small turkeys and other small poultry prior to plucking. To achieve a good finish and successfully wet pluck poultry, the birds must be scalded accurately beforehand, to do this both the temperature of the water and the length of time the bird spends submerged are vital.
The tank is fitted with a digital temperature controller which is linked to the control panel, providing a clear read out, which enables water temperature to be accurately controlled.
Leg hanging bar, made from stainless steel, is fitted so birds can be hung during dipping, this is particularly useful when dipping turkeys which can be heavy.
