The process of hot water sterilisation (as set out in the The Horticultural Development Company (HDC) Research Project HNS 147 Factsheet) is an extremely effective method of killing off fungal spores, pathogens, viruses and weed seed from plant pots and other equipment used on nurseries. This allows pots and equipment to be reused which not only saves money but significantly reduces waste.
